Please resond to the “actual question” and I’ll give you 10pts no need for advise on how not to have debt etc, ot to be careful etc. I didn’t aks for that limit it just grew to that point.
I am not planning on using that credit ever, my question is if it looks good for lenders or not.

High limit and no debt is absolutely better than low limit. It aides in your FICO score and shows you have the ability to be responsible.

I pretty much agree with that. I have MS and it’s a rotten disease to live with. But…I know I’m just on this earth for a bit, as my REAL home is in heaven for all of eternity. That’s how I make it through each day and keep my spirits high. Without Him in my life, I’d have no hope and I wouldn’t have the good attitude that I have now.

I really don’t care if God takes me home today or 5 years from now. I know it will be His perfect timing for me, and I just pray that I make Him happy for the time I’m here. “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”

Also, the average time on the market for a newly listed home only went up from 79 days to 88. Just 9 days longer to sell your home on average. Not that big of deal. And most positive, the average price (in the thousands) of a home increased from last year from 7.8 to 6.4. According to the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO), 131 of 287 metro cities recorded decreased housing prices. The Knoxville metro area showed a 2nd quarter increase 2.29% and yearly increase of 7.85%.

I think numbers will be a little bit worse in the third quarter, but not compared to the national scene. Even with the barrage of negative reporting we swallow, this area of East Tennessee seems to be moving right along. The same is true for our neighbors in Asheville and Charlotte. The same cannot be said for California, Florida and Nevada.

In my opinion, the constant national media coverage of areas where markets have gone sour weighs on the minds of your average local homeowner/homebuyer and accounts somewhat for the decline in the market, however slight it may be. But, the average East Tennessean didn’t finance their current home with a 1 month pay option Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM) with 100% financing (that’s a loan which the interest rate can adjust after one month – slightly risky). Most likely your neighbor obtained a 30 year mortgage and proved their income. They are not in foreclosure right now. And if you are local and did get an Adjustable Rate Mortgage, chances are you have equity in the house and can easily refinance with no closing costs and obtain a reasonable fixed rate.

Subprime lending is affecting the current market, and yes, this area did have its share of subprime loans that are now in default. The newly tightened lending guidelines will all but right these wrongs to a large degree. And I should say that I don’t think that these guidelines are such a bad idea. Why not insist established homeowners put a little money down on a new home purchase and provide a decent credit history, lending credence to the promise of repaying the largest debt they incur?

Oh, and of note to first time buyers – you still have access to great rates and 100% financing. You just have to come up with the documentation to prove to a lender that you’re worth the risk. And for most of you, that’s just not going to be a problem.

Today my high school Economy class is starting to play on the virtual stock market (we’re given “500K”, and we’ve got to see how much more money we can accumulate). What are some goods stocks to “invest” in. What’s going to do the best job of turning my (fake) money into more money?
For those of you complaining about how stock tips would cost me money, this is for my high school class. With fake money. That’s how I would pay for your advice too.

Since Christmas is upon us try some retail stores like Walmart or even online stores like Amazon. UPS, FedEx are in their peak seasons as well so their stock will begin to jump up.

I think your answer is too common.
I am sure there are lots of people who would say the same.
Rather, come up with something that is very simple, unique, and yet useful.

Think about what you can change to save money for yourself.
Smoke? Eat out a lot? Have lots of parties on weekend? Drink a lot? Go shopping every week?
What if you quit those behaviors and put those money in the bank?

I will decide how much quit smoking would save per week, or eating out costs per week.
And every time you did NOT do, I would put that money in the bank, as if you did it.

Or look at local ads, and decide where to buy your groceries, clothes, cleaning supplies, etc.
Your receipts often tells you how much you saved.
You can put that money in the bank as well, as if you spent it.
It adds up, and you will save a lot in a long run.

I am just giving you an idea, but think what you can do really easy and simple way, without hurting your lifestyle too much.

I think that would be the best tip to save money.

These are chapters 7 and 13, both of which the debtor must go through bankruptcy counseling before the court can proceed with the hearing. Without this, the court may not be in a position to accept the filed petition. Insolvency counseling is a chance for the debtor to see where they went wrong and to also find out ways in which they can avoid such problems in future.

This is also a good chance to ask financial questions. Though some debtors are exempted from this service, most of the debtors will be required to go through it. Not everyone supports the education service offered by these agencies. Some critics argue that these are done when the debtor is already in financial crisis which in most cases cannot be repaired. They argue that most of these individuals are in critical positions which may not be bettered by the sessions.

Some critics of bankruptcy counseling argue that it is not proper for the court to reject those who are insolvent on grounds that they have not gone for the session. This is because some people go bankrupt for reasons that are not of their own making. They also feel that when these people are forced to go through this, the guilt and feelings of hopelessness may not disappear at the end of it all.
